The United Nations have committed to something incredible and need your help! Over the next five years, as Earth Day moves closer to its 50th anniversary, the United Nations is calling on YOU to help achieve one of their most ambitious goals yet — planting 7.8 billion trees by 2020! Our planet is currently losing over 15 billion trees each year (equivalent to 48 football fields every minute). In honour of Earth Day’s 50th anniversary in 2020, the Earth Day Network have announced Trees for the Earth, a plan to plant 7.8 billion trees by Earth Day 2020: one tree for every person on the planet.
Here at the Global Goals Australia Campaign, we love challenges! So we are taking on the challenge as a community united in our dedication and passion for the Global Goals to plant our share of trees by 2020! These trees can be planted anywhere in the world. All you need to do is fill out the form below to register your tree. Then you can see your tree on our map. You can even choose to add your name to the honour roll!
